Live sitar music returns to Warwick Spice

Warwick Spice’s resident sitar player – perennial and long-time favourite – Nash will be returning to the restaurant after a brief convalescence absence.

He will resume his regular live music slots every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, when he will entertain guests with his eclectic selection of traditional Indian sitar tunes plus his own arrangements of popular western classics.

And his wardrobe will remain resplendent and idiosyncratic, he promises. As will his interpretation of any requests… such as George Harrison any many more……

Support two young snooker players to become professionals

Each year currently costs over £37,000 to attend professional snooker academy and play in semi-professional tournaments around the UK and Europe for these two brothers, which has to come out of their parents’ earned income – very expensive,…

However, both boys are national age-group champions and represent England at international tournaments – so have a great chance of turning pro.

But their parents are struggling to cover these costs.

Any help will be gratefully received.

Dennis Taylor, 1985 World Snooker Champion at Warwick Spice

In aid of Warwick Hospital, Childrens’ Ward.

Following the success of our evening with Steve Davis last year, we turned to another champion of the green baize for another fund raiser.

The evening started with a 3-course meal for all our guests and then was followed by a talk from Dennis. His hilarity, sharp wit and humble warming presence helped raise over £1,200 in aid of Warwick Hospital Children’s Ward

Watch out for more snooker stars visiting us soon…

Warwick Spice proudly presents an evening with… Steve Davis (OBE)

In aid of Myton Hospice.

An ‘interesting’ evening… six times World Snooker Champion Steve Davis OBE spent an evening telling tales of the green baize, pressure potting, and life on the snooker tour…

Reminiscences from The Nugget, tall tales from the green baize, handling pressure when going for the first-ever televised 147 break, plus a keen sense of humour… all was revealed when Steve Davis spent an evening at Warwick Spice on behalf of charity.

In a hugely successful fundraising effort, over £1,200 was raised to go to Myton Hospice.

The evening’s entertainment from Steve Davis was accompanied by musical accompaniment from Nash –our sitar player.

Thank you for all who attended and made the event a huge success, giving Myton Hospice a much deserved Christmas present.
