Warwick Spice proudly presents an evening with... Steve Davis (OBE)
In aid of Myton Hospice.
Wednesday 12th December 2012.
An ‘interesting’ evening... six times World Snooker Champion Steve Davis OBE spent an evening telling tales of the green baize, pressure potting, and life on the snooker tour...
Reminiscences from The Nugget, tall tales from the green baize, handling pressure when going for the first-ever televised 147 break, plus a keen sense of humour... all was revealed when Steve Davis spent an evening at Warwick Spice on behalf of charity.
In a hugely successful fundraising effort, over £1,200 was raised to go to Myton Hospice.
The evening’s entertainment from Steve Davis was accompanied by musical accompaniment from Nash – our regular Monday and Thursday evening sitar player.
Thank you for all who attended and made the event a huge success, giving Myton Hospice a much deserved Christmas present.

Sitar Music Thursdays
NASH MEGHJI, a former Warwickshire Art Teacher, now chills out at Warwick Spice every Monday and Thursday playing the sitar.
The sitar ia a North Indian string instrument with nineteen strings, made popular to Western concert audience by Pandit Ravi Shanker and George Harrison of the Beatles.
All the melody is played on just one string supported by drones and resonators making a unique atmospheric, traditional Indian sound quite rare by any standards.
